Your voice is a podcast voice

How I helped launch Anchor's first major brand campaign
OBJECTIVE
Launch Anchor's first major brand campaign to inspire podcast creation.
INSIGHT

In various discussions with Anchor’s audience and creators at large, we discovered a major hurdle for budding podcasters: most people don't like the sound of their own voice.

SOLUTION

A campaign that brings us into the imaginative realms two different podcasters crafted using their distinct voices and ideas to show that every voice has podcast potential, and is unique as a fingerprint to one's identity.

Process

CHALLENGE

The team had to spin up a campaign for Anchor that inspired podcasters to start a show without a fixed deadline or media plan.

After broad ideation, we settled on a final concept leading to a digital paid media rollout. We created two creative concepts for A/B testing, produced assets on-the-go for the media package, and collaborated with external teams for HTML5 banners.

PROCESS

We brainstormed multiple podcast ideas, creating vision and set boards to envision different worlds, which honed our creativity. Our goal was to conceive visually fantastical concepts unique to Anchor.

Eventually, we developed two distinct storyboarded ideas with scripts, preparing a brief for the production agency. The finalized concepts were "Mars Murder Mystery," a fan-fiction about murderous aliens on Mars, and "Grand Drags," a narrative of two elderly queens reflecting on their 70s ballroom days.

EXECUTION

We worked closely with PF100 to produce two distinct creative concepts, having several calls per week to align on casting, wardrobe, set design, and more.
